In January 1996, our institution has been granted permanent affiliation to University of Mysore.
Our institution is in the list of 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC.
Our institution is the first Pharmacy Institute in Karnataka to get approval of AICTE for B.Pharm in 1993 - 94. It has joined the main stream of Pharmacy education with AICTE approval.
The institution started M.Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy in 1992. Till October 1999, the college has successfully produced 41 post graduates in Industrial Pharmacy and all of them are well placed.
The college has been approved for Ph.D. programme since 1994.
The institution started M.Pharm in Pharmacy practice in 1995. Till October 1999, the college has successfully produced 09 postgraduates in Pharmacy practice and all of them are well placed.
The institution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Repatriation General Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia in to train the staff for the development of Clinical Pharmacy department at J.S.S. Hospital and to support and strengthen the M.Pharm programme in Pharmacy Practice.
Our institution organized the first National Convention of Pharmacy Teachers of India on behalf of APTI in October 1995.
Dr.G.Parthasarathi, Professor and Head, Dept. of Clinical Pharmacy, and Dr.M.Ramesh, Professor, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore, underwent a training at RGH, South Australia in Clinical Pharmacy. They are presently working and establishing an unique Clinical Pharmacy department, at J.S.S. Hospital, Mysore.
Our institute organized three weeks staff development programme in December 1996 for the benefit of young pharmacy teachers. This programme was sponsored and funded by AICTE.
Our institution hosted a three days work shop and seminar on Ethnopharmacology in October1997. National and International delegates attended it.

Our institution organized the first national seminar on Hospital and Clinical pharmacy in Oct' 99.
M.Pharm programme in Bulk Drug has been started from the academic year 1999-2000.
MoU Signed with School of Pharmacy University of South Australia for Post Graduate education and training (May' 2000).
College gets AICTE accreditation by National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi. The institute has been granted 'A' Grade for M.Pharm in Pharmacy practice (2001-06) and 'B' Grade for M.Pharm (industrial Pharmacy) & B.Pharm programmes (2001-2004, 2005-2008)
The institution organized a national seminar in industrial and pharmacy practice 0n 23rd and 24th October 2001
AICTE sponsored Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) was inaugurated & MoU regarding collaborative programmes were signed with about 6 industries for mutual benefit (08-03-03).

On the occasion of Golden Jubilee celebration of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, the Health institution of JSSMVP organized International Conference on Health Sciences with theme of “Integrated Healthcare for Global Well being held at JSS Health Institution Campus, Mysore It is first of this kind where all health institutions joined together and organized this conference. (25th and 26th Feb 05).
